Job Title: Relationship Violence Counselor

Job Description: As a Relationship Violence Counselor at in the Wingwomen referral network, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals dealing with relationship violence and abuse. You will provide empathetic counseling, support, and resources to empower clients to break the cycle of violence and cultivate healthier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with clients experiencing relationship violence.

  2. Develop and implement personalized counseling plans based on clients' needs and goals.

  3. Offer crisis intervention services to individuals in immediate distress.

  4. Collaborate with other counselors and professionals within the organization to ensure comprehensive support.

  5. Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in relationship violence counseling.

  6. Maintain accurate and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.

  7. Conduct outreach and awareness programs to educate the community about relationship violence prevention.

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

  2. Relevant counseling experience, preferably in the area of relationship violence.

  3. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and counseling techniques.

  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  5. Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to promoting healthy relationships.
